Hotels in Colombia
Rooftop hotels in Colombia are, on this site, all about Bogotá, a capital set at about 2,600 metres on a high plateau against the green wall of the Eastern Hills. From a hotel terrace the city reads in two directions: east to the ridge of Monserrate and its white sanctuary, west across the endless brick sprawl of the sabana, with the towers of the centre and the lit-up Colpatria tower in between.
The rooftop scene leans to evening: cocktail terraces in Chapinero, the Zona T and Parque 93 that fill after work, and boutique roofs in La Candelaria looking over colonial tiles and church domes. Bogotá never gets hot, so a jacket matters more than sunscreen once the sun drops. The drier spells, roughly December to March and July to August, give the clearest evenings. Choose La Candelaria for history underfoot, the north for nightlife and sleeker skyline views.
