Over dit hotel

Divan Cukurhan looks directly across at the entrance to Ankara Castle, a rare central position that trades a distant skyline sweep for close proximity to the citadel itself, with rooms equipped with free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, air conditioning, satellite TV, and tea and coffee making facilities. A 24-hour front desk service and a library add a quieter, more residential register to the property, and guests can enjoy local and international gourmet cuisine in the restaurant without needing to leave the historic Ulus district. The Rahmi M. Koc Museum sits immediately next door, while the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations and the Sengul Merkez Hammam are both a five-minute walk away, making this one of the most historically anchored bases in Ankara for exploring the old city on foot.

  • Facing Ankara Castle
  • Historic Ulus location
  • Hotel library

Onze mening

This suits travelers who want to be as close as possible to Ankara Castle and the old city's museums, especially anyone planning a walking-focused itinerary through Ulus. It works less well for guests wanting the business-district amenities of Cukurambar or Sogutozu, since Divan Cukurhan's identity is built entirely around its historic old-town setting.

  • Visit Ankara Castle first thing in the morning; the entrance sits directly across from the hotel, making an early start effortless.
  • Walk to the Sengul Merkez Hammam for a traditional bath experience, only five minutes from the hotel on foot.
  • Use the hotel library for a quiet afternoon between museum visits rather than heading back out into the old town.

Waarom we het geweldig vinden

  • Directly opposite Ankara Castle's entrance
  • Next to the Rahmi M. Koc Museum
  • Five minutes from Sengul Merkez Hammam
  • Historic Ulus district setting
Waarom gasten er dol op zijn

Waking up across from Ankara Castle's entrance made the whole stay feel anchored to the old city in a way no business-district hotel could match. The Rahmi M. Koc Museum next door filled an easy afternoon, and the Sengul Merkez Hammam five minutes away gave us a proper traditional bath experience toward the end of the trip. The hotel library became our quiet spot between museum visits, a small detail that made a real difference.
